Mr. Seddon “Rusty” Goode, Jr.
Mr. Goode is currently President and a Director of University Research Park, Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mr. Goode has held many distinguished positions throughout his career including Chairman and Director of Canal Industries, Inc. (1995 to 2002), Treasurer, Director and President of the North Carolina Global TransPark Authority (1991 to 1998), Chairman of First Charlotte Corporation (1977 to 1984) and Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Director of Interstate Securities Corporation from 1968 to 1977. Mr. Goode’s many other current and former business affiliations include serving as a Director of New South Corp., Trion, Inc., Shelco, Inc., Pelican Companies, Inc., Riscorp Insurance Co., Dickerson, Inc., Carowinds, Inc., W. H. Stuart Companies, Moffett Bearings, Harrison Poultry, Inc. and as a Trustee of The Crosland Group. Mr. Goode received his BS from Davidson College and an MBA from the University of North Carolina. He also served in the U. S. Army.
